DESCRIPTION:Crisis Consulting International is pleased to offer an open Crisis Management Seminar (CMS) in Waxhaw\, NC (near Charlotte) at the JAARS Center on November 10-12\, 2020. \n_____\nABOUT the CMS \nThe CMS is a 3-day leadership-oriented course which provides participants with the knowledge\, skills and abilities to develop a competent security and crisis management program. Participants will be trained and prepared to serve on a crisis management team in the most complex and critical events. Core components of the training include risk assessment (including the use of EZRA*\, a proprietary risk assessment software provided to participants)\, developing appropriate policies and contingency planning\, understanding the present-day terrorism threat\, forming and leading crisis management teams\, and using a crisis resolution protocol to guide response to emergencies. Case studies and tabletop exercises are used extensively. \n*EZRA is a Microsoft Access-based tool. It is only compatible on Mac in conjunction with programs such as VMWare or Parallels. EZRA will work on any PC laptop with or without MS Access (a Runtime version of Access may be downloaded for non-Access installed machines). \n_____\nCOST and DETAILS \nThe price for the CMS is $575 per student. Seminar fee discounts are available for the following: 1) more than one person attending from the same organization (both may take discount) ($35); 2) if you attend CCI’s Interrogation Management Workshop preceding the CMS on November 9\, 2020 at the same location ($35). The CMS consists of three (3) 8-hour days\, ending around 5:00 p.m. on the final day (see a Sample Schedule). \n_____\nWHO SHOULD ATTEND? \nFull- or part-time organizational crisis managers and crisis management team (CMT) members\, full- or part-time security managers\, risk managers\, operational leaders\, personnel managers\, regional field leaders\, human resources managers\, and member care personnel. \n_____ \nTRANSPORTATION\, HOUSING\, and MEALS \nTravel to the training site is the responsibility of each participant. Some ride-sharing options from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) may be available with other participants (see CCI email soon after registration). \nComplimentary morning snacks and refreshments will be available each day. A variety of lunch options will be available at the training site\, ranging from $5.75 to $7.75 in price. Dinners are on your own (generally in the nearby town of Waxhaw). \nLodge-style housing is available at JAARS for a cost of $55/single or $35/double.
