CCI will hold a Field Security Seminar (FSS) on April 20-22, 2026 in Thiès, Senegal. The exact training location will be communicated upon successful enrollment.
COURSE AND OVERVIEW
The FSS is a field-oriented training for faith-based, international workers operating in higher risk environments. Participants will learn about managing surveillance, maintaining situational and environmental awareness, surviving violent encounters and coordinated attacks, and landmines and IEDs. In addition, participants will learn to manage interrogations, survive hostage events, leadership in emergencies, how to manage carjacking events, and learn the essentials of vehicle security (convoys; checkpoints; ambushes). A discussion of terrorism as it relates to faith-based workers is included.
The FSS is presented by experienced global security professionals who are mature believers. The seminar begins with and is infused with a theology of risk.
The tuition for the FSS is $550 per student. This fee includes refreshments, lunch, and course materials but excludes lodging and other meals. Participants from the same organization may take a $35 discount (all may take discount).
LODGING, MEALS, AND TRANSPORTATION
Onsite lodging and meals for the seminar may be available. More information will be communicated upon successful enrollment.
The closest major airport is Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS), about 50 km distant.
Important note: the seminar will conclude around 4:30 PM on the last day. The drive time to the airport is up to 1.5 hours. Thus, time consideration should be factored in for any flight departures the evening following the training.
COURSE SCHEDULE
The seminar will run from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Breaks and lunch will be included.
