HEAT | Cairo, Egypt | September 2025

CCI will hold a HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training—also sometimes called a Field Security Seminar) on 13-15 September 2025 in Cairo, Egypt. The exact location and other specific details will be shared upon successful pre-enrollment (below) and approval to attend by the CCI training team.
COURSE AND OVERVIEW
The HEAT is a field-oriented training for faith-based, international workers operating in higher risk environments. Participants will learn about managing surveillance, maintaining situational and environmental awareness, surviving violent encounters and coordinated attacks, and landmines and IEDs. In addition, participants will learn to manage interrogations, survive hostage events, leadership in emergencies, how to manage carjacking events, and learn the essentials of vehicle security (convoys; checkpoints; ambushes). A discussion of terrorism as it relates to faith-based workers is included.
The HEAT is presented by experienced global security professionals who are mature believers. The training begins with and is infused with a theology of risk.
The tuition for the HEAT is $550 US per student. This fee includes refreshments and course materials but excludes lodging and meals. Participants from the same organization may take a $40 discount (all may take discount).
LODGING, MEALS, AND TRANSPORTATION
Lodging, meals, and transportation are the responsibility of each participant. (NOTE: Some lodging and meal options may be made available as part of this course. More details will be provided upon enrollment.)
COURSE SCHEDULE
The training will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. and end by 5:30 p.m. (17h30) each afternoon. The training includes practical exercises designed to reinforce classroom instruction. The schedule may involve an evening session.
